RENÉE DALO · WEDDING MBA 2026

Your Wedding MBA companion guide.

A little more prepared. A lot less overwhelmed. Save this page to your phone and use it all week in Vegas.

November 17–19, 2026 · Las Vegas Convention Center

01 · BEFORE YOU GO

Make a plan. Then pack.

What to wear

  • Business casual with your own personality.
  • Layers. Conference rooms can be chilly.
  • Comfortable shoes you can walk in all day.
  • Something you feel great being photographed in.
  • A conversation starter never hurts.

What to bring

  • Notebook and pens.
  • Phone charging bank (not just a charging cord).
  • Lip balm, moisturizer, and hand sanitizer.
  • Business cards or an easy-to-share digital contact.
  • Any snacks or personal essentials that help you feel good.
Renée's session-planning adviceChoose classes based on your actual business goals. Read descriptions, research speakers, and jot down questions you want answered. You don't need to attend everything.

02 · ARRIVING IN VEGAS

Getting around.

Airport rideshare pickup
  1. Collect your luggage at baggage claim.
  2. Follow airport signs for rideshare pickup.
  3. At Terminal 1, follow signs to the elevator and pedestrian bridge to the designated pickup area. Other terminals have different routes.
  4. Once you reach the pickup area, request your Uber or Lyft and check the assigned zone in the app.
  5. Follow the app's directions to meet your driver.
Renée's tipGet to the rideshare area before requesting your car. Pickup instructions can change, so follow current airport signs.
The Monorail + convention center

The Las Vegas Monorail can be a useful way to get around the Strip and reach the convention center without sitting in traffic. Check the route, hours, and ticket options before you go.

Badge pickup

Plan time to collect your badge before your first session. Check the latest pickup times and location on the official MBA website. The convention center is BIG; give yourself time to find the right room.

Food + lunch

Don't accidentally spend your whole lunch break hunting for food. Options may include delivery, food trucks, convention-center concessions, and nearby hotels. If you're heading off-site, factor in travel time.

Renée's rule: Decide when you'll eat before your day fills up.

03 · WHILE YOU'RE THERE

Make the most of MBA.

Sessions

  • Pick classes that solve a problem you're actually facing.
  • Set a phone alarm about 10 minutes before sessions you don't want to miss.
  • Silence your phone and laptop during presentations.
  • Take away the ideas you'll USE, not every word on every slide.
Research the speakers before you choose.

Listen to the Wedding MBA Podcast to hear from conference speakers and make more informed session choices.

The Expo Hall

  • Decide which businesses you want to meet before you enter.
  • Leave time to discover something unexpected.
  • Ask real questions. Start conversations.
  • Use the official map to find your priorities.

Networking

  • Know whom you're hoping to meet: vendors, tech companies, peers, community.
  • Have one personal and one business talking point ready.
  • Be curious. Introduce people to each other.
  • Follow up while the conversation is still fresh.

Take care of yourself

  • Hydrate, eat actual meals, and take breaks.
  • Step outside or find a quieter hallway when you need a reset.
  • Wear comfortable shoes. Your feet will thank you.
  • You are allowed to skip something and rest.

04 · MARKETING + CONTENT

Film a little. Use it a lot.

Build a B-roll library

  • Convention-center exterior, signage, and room entrances.
  • Expo Hall movement, session crowds, and wide room shots.
  • Your badge, notebook, coffee, shoes walking, and behind-the-scenes details.
  • The Strip or city views from the Monorail.
  • Footage of YOU in the experience.

Try short clips with wide, medium, and close-up framing. Be respectful when filming other people.

Your hotel room is your studio

It's easier to film a clear talking-head video somewhere quiet. Capture your thoughts while they're fresh:

  • Three things I learned today.
  • One thing that surprised me.
  • A lesson I'm bringing back to my clients.
  • Someone I met and why you should know them.

Face a window, clean your lens, and check your audio.
